It turns out that the name of The Little Marketing Department is no coincidence.
I'm Jen Little, President and Owner of The Little Marketing Department.
Now if you are thinking of making jokes about my last name you have to realize that those jokes are not at all funny unless you include my 4' 101/2" stature...then the jokes keep coming!
With over a decade of working the field of Marketing and Business Development services for several firms, some serving Fortune 500 companies, you may wonder why I decided to found a company that would help small businesses and nonprofit organizations achieve their fullest potential.
The answer is simple!
I truly want to make the world a better place. The small businesses of our communities employ most of those who live, work, and play in our Commonwealth, and nonprofit organizations fill needs in our communities that are otherwise not met.
I want to help you help our community.
It is a priority of mine to be active in the community I call home, Mathews County (just on the tip of the Commonwealth's Middle Peninsula). Elected to the Mathews County School Board in 2007, I have served as the youngest chairman and youngest female vice chairman. Activity on varied boards and civic organizations such as the Mathews Rotary Club, the State Board for the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, Congressman Wittman's First Congressional District Council on Education, and the First Congressional District Committee of the Democratic Party of Virginia keeps me busy and out of trouble.
Of course, just like you, being active in the business community is a priority. For me this includes active membership in the Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate (HRACRE), Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), and serving on the board for the Mathews Chamber of Commerce. Inside Business Magazine recognized me as a Business Woman of Achievement in 2006, and again in 2010 as one of Hampton Roads Top Forty Under 40 professionals.
Helping the community, both professionally and civically, is what makes me happy. My desire is to make the world a better place for my daughter, Nikki, and, my husband Tripp, and to use the talents God gave me to help others.
The Little Marketing Department is a family company, and when you choose to work with me you are choosing to work with someone who will treat you with respect, integrity, and professionalism. I have a strong, easy to remember code of ethics:
The Four Way Test from Rotary International: 1. Is it the truth? 2. Is it fair to all concerned? 3. Will it build good will and better friendships? 4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?; and
The Golden Rule: Do unto others as you as you would have them do unto you.
Now that's enough of me rambling on about myself. Most marketing, business developing types can talk about what they do...
Here's what others have to say about the The Little Marketing Department:
